Customs harmonized tariff

When importing or exporting goods between countries one of the most important factors is determining the customs harmonized tariff code for your cargo.  The customs harmonized tariff is a specific number which allows customs to assess the correct duties / taxes & licencing laws applicable to your consignments. 

Both the European Union and the USA publish an online version of their customs harmonized tariff's which can be used to determine the correct harmonized codes for your cargo.
