Qatar Airways confirms more freighter routes
Qatar airways launches more routes on their already impressive network via Doha. Hanoi in Vietnam, Kozhikode and Bengaluru in India are new destinations to have freighter capacity added in the form of B777 Freighters.
Hanoi
The Vietnamese capital, Hanoi, has been added from the 15th April and is a weekly B777-200 freighter service. The Qatar Airways aircraft operates ex Doha with the return leg transitting through Hong Kong. Qatar Airways already served Hanoi with passenger aircraft, the inaugaration of the route dating back to November last year. Qatar Airways believe the addition of freighter capacity into Hanoi will help them to develop what has already been an extremely good route for them.
Vietnam expots a variety of commodities with manufacturing goods high on the list. They are also the second largest exporter of rice and it is these markets Qatar Airways freighter service is focussed on.
India
Qatar Airways Indian freighter services are to be operated with an A300-600 freighter aircraft. this additional flight will add an additional 40 tonnes of weekly capacity to Qatar's already high capacity network. Qatar Airways already serve 12 cities in India with a balance of passenger and freighter aircraft. Qatar Airways already carry a multitude of exports out of India, anything from perishable vegetables through Pharmaceuticals to Manufacturing commodities and ships spares.
