Tiaca has signed a memorandum of understanding with the WCO.
Tiaca : The International Air Cargo Association. WCO : The World Customs Organisation.
The above memorandum of understanding between Tiaca and the WCO is designed to allow both organisations to better understand and identify how the air freight industry can meet the needs of customs authorities. Signed in Brussels this agreement provides a platform for both parties to keep the other informed of their individual requirements and ongoing developments in each other's areas.
This closer working co-operations between the two groups should herald a better understanding and allow a further collaboration between all involved in the movement of air cargo and customs around the world.

Freightaid has today updated it's external links list. This includes the link to the Department for Transport's regulated agents list which had been moved by those that administer the department for transport's website.
This important resource for shippers to ensure they are only using regulated agents when exporting from the UK is a key tool in Freightaid's awareness campaign for exporters from the UK. We cannot understand why the Department for Transport would move this valuable resource without putting a re-direct on the original page but the new weblink to the department for transports regulated agent list should be a lot more robust.
We have also added several new weblinks to the H.M.Revenue and customs website. H.M.Customs public notices and updated customs rates of echange lists which work hand in hand with the UK customs tariff links to provide a better overview of the rules and regulations in the UK for importers and exporters.
This, coupled with updating our popular air and sea cargo tracking pages continue to put us at the fore-front as a valuable resource for shippers, manufacturers and cargo / freight agents worldwide.
